Hi! I'm Lisa and I teach.
Teaching can mean a lot of things. It means I'm experienced in data management and analysis, as I've had to process over 1,250 documents (both in digital and hard copy format) every 9 weeks, four times a year. I take that data and formulate strategies as to how I can better serve my clients and use research-based practices to enable maximum learning. Teaching also means that I am extremely organized, as I've streamlined my processes and work under tight deadlines. I am skilled in addressing a variety of audiences, all day, every day, and can distill complex subjects into manageable chunks while remaining engaging. Teaching means that I constantly reflect on my work and assess the needs of my clients, and the fact that I'm a National Board Certified Teacher (only 3% of the nation's teachers are!) shows that I'm highly effective at doing so. I communicate respectfully and efficiently with stakeholders and can often anticipate needs before they arise. Because I've been an English teacher, too, it means that my attention to detail is unparalled and that I can edit or create anything you may need.
More than anything, teaching means that I'm constantly learning. Though I became an educator through a love of my subject, my passion for teaching as a practice has surpassed that. I know how important education is, in ALL of its forms: facilitating meetings, onboarding new clients, managing a team, assisting administrators, coordinating projects, selling a product or service, designing instructional materials, and ultimately, empowering individuals to lead healthy, happy lives. I am still in love with reading, writing, speaking, and listening-- the four Language Arts-- and believe that I am uniquely situated to help organizations optimize these essential skills to build perhaps the most important thing of all: relationships.
